About Me

My photo
I’m all or nothing with my Make-up, full on foundation, eyeliner, lots of lashes and bright lippy.... Barely there natural, blue eyes, blonde hair. Colours, vibrant, expression of our own individuality. Beauty is skin deep, a lot can be said for beauty that covers up the ugly on the inside.

My new MUST HAVE product!

Ok, so my new wonder product was a gift for my 29th Birthday, I have looked at these products before but have never actually tried them due to the price tag but have always heard nothing but good reviews on the range. If I'm going to splash on skincare my usual fav is Estee Lauder but I think I most defiantly have been converted with only two days use of this new little miracle worker!

Liz Earle, Cleanse and Polish! So what is so special about this product. Well with this you get a bottle of cleansing cream and a pure muslin cloth. The cleanser is a thick cream which you apply to DRY skin (being an ex beauty therapist I always use my facial massage technique to apply my cleanser, but light upwards strokes, as to not drag the skin will be fine), once fully massage into skin you then fill a basin with hot water, place your muslin cloth in the water and use this to remove the product, rinse cloth and repeat until all signs of makeup has disappeared, thoroughly rinse cloth and the splash face with cold water to close pores. The cleanser removes all traces of dirt, oil and makeup and the muslin cloth provides a light exfoliation. I can say even after two uses my face has NEVER felt cleaner or softer, this product is pure perfection in a bottle! As for the long term results of this product I cant comment but I will def do an update after six weeks of use, but for me to be converted so quickly this product must be good. Once you have fully cleansed your skin, follow with your favourite night or day cream, at night mine is followed by Estee Lauder Advanced night repair serum and then one pump of Ren Omega 3 Serum, during the day it is followed by whatever day cream I an using at the time, but remember to ensure your day cream contains at least an spf of 15!

Definitely a product to try! Enjoy!

Minx Nails - the latest must have fashion accessory?

Well... Being one that usually knows everything nails.. I was surprised to find I actually don't, apparently the new Minx Nail Transfers are the latest must have fashion accessory... with thanks to my little sis Abbie, how did these pass me by?

With hundreds of designs there is one for everyone... Cant give more detail as don't know much about these myself but thought they were worth a mention, will def be getting myself online to purchase some. Link to website below.

Eyeko eyeshadow tin

Another diamond find..... I have had this eyeshadow tin for nearly two years now and was thinking about my all time fav eyeshadows, usually top of my 'must have' list would be the Barry M Dazzel Dust in Charcol (these pots last a lifetime, def worth a buy) but after thinking what I use on a daily basis I think I need to give the Eyeko Eyeshadow tin some love. Again another find at the clothes show (always a good place to find brands you wouldn't usually pick up on a regular shopping trip), the tin is a mix of cool blues, vibrant purples, smoky greys and strong blacks, right up my street. When Purchased the tin does come with Eyeko Magic liquid eyeliner (not pictured), which is clear and can be used with the shadows giving this product a two in one value. This did run out about three months after purchase, but gave a softer liner look, rather than the harsh look liquid liner can sometimes give.. The colours are long lasting vibrant (the purple is one of my favs) and can be built up for a bright evening look.

I think I purchased this tin for around £5, definitely a great buy, two years down the line my daily use has hardly made a dent on the tin. I believe these tins were available from Asos at £3.50 a tin and I think I have seen them stocked at Superdrug..... I will be stocking up at the clothes show this year!

new ID I-gloss in Moonstone

My little sis and I discovered this brand at the clothes show last last year and were both sold on their I-gloss in Moonstone! What a lovely colour (not shown in pic). A very pale creamy soft nude pink which just looks fab against pale skin and blonde hair! It also has a little Mirror on the side of the tube and a light in the lid, brill if you need to do your lippy in the back of a taxi! I wouldn't say its very long lasting but then again what lipgloss is? Price range good too, I think we paid around £12-£14 for this. Anyway a year on it is just on its last legs, was hoping they would have been at the clothes show this year so I could stock up, but they do have a website http://www.newcidcosmetics.com so I will be stocking up there. They also had some other lovely products which are a perm feature in my makeup bag, which I will review another time. Def try this is you like you pale nude colours, fabby lipgloss!

Maybelline Define-A-Lash

Right, so having discovered that I actually did not own any Waterproof Mascara and was off swimming at the gym I quickly ran to my closest supermarket! My usual fav Mascaras are Lancome Hypnose/Definicils, Benefit Badgal and Clinique Long and pretty lashes but not having a stockist of any of the above handy I thought I would try Mabellines Define-A-Lash. I have very long lashes that clump easily, the description on the box sounded like it could be a cheap quick fix for my 'waterproof mascara' dilemma! Not wanting to look like I had just smeared my makeup over my face I thought I would give this a try.Im used to using Clinique Long and Pretty Lashes or Lancome Defencils to define and separate my lashes rather than build so to be fair this mascara had to live up to alot. How would I rate this mascara? Hmmmm out of 10 id give it a 5! Pros, waterproof.... ish! Separated lashes... ish! Cons, separated lashes a bit to much, I looked like I was wearing spider legs on my eyes! Waterproof, hmmmmm went into clumps and was flaking after my swim and worst of all... I have discovered I HATE the wands on Mabelline mascaras! I now remember from my younger days of why I hated Mabelline Mascaras, their wands are WAY to flexible, it feels like it is going to snap every time you put it back into the tube and in fact if I remember rightly one has snapped on me before! I have to work mascara into my lashes and do not feel like this gives you the work-ability to work into your lashes, just a bit to flexible for my liking. Anyway over all review, good if you want a cheap gym mascara that you don't really want to do alot, would I buy again..... no, again you get what you pay for, I think I paid around £6 for this!

Lust Haves..... Feb 2010

Well, I have just teased myself and looked at the new Spring/Summer 2010 Louboutin collection and fall in love every time I enter the Website. The high high heels perfect for my 5ft 3' build, the distinct red sole, the unusual and somewhat 'circus freak show' look to the website, the man or should I say 'god' grab me each time.
Anyhow out of lack of owning a pair of my dear Louie's I can only but dream. Toady I am in love with the Duvette, perfect mix between beige and cream, perfect for the up and coming wedding season, although you may possibly out shine the bride in a pair of these babies! I hope my second fav shoe shop Aldo bring out a look a like to these, a lot more within my price range.
LUST HAVE FOR FEB - The 'Duvette'..... size 5 please..... xx
